Acknowledgement of Country
In the spirit of reconciliation Life Dance Community Limited acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
Our registered office is on the land of the Cadigal Wangal people.
SUPPORT

Inner West Council has supported Life Dance Community Limited by providing use of a Council venue since 2024. We are grateful for their generous assistance.

In June 2025 Life Dance Community was accepted into the not-for-profit accelerator program run by INCO Elevate Australia. The two month program included developing a Theory of Change, mentoring from Bank of New York on fundraising, and incorporation into a peer community. This was a key milestone in development of our vision. And heartfelt thanks to Julie Macey, INCO's Partnerships and Program Manager, for seeing the value in our vision for addressing social isolation and loneliness.

The Centre for Social Impact at @UNSW chose Life Dance Community as a project for their class of approximately 300 Masters students in Q3 2024. Project teams of four to six worked on either marketing or crowdfunding, with the marketing teams also having a generational focus. We were very grateful for this opportunity to receive analysis and recommendations from such a dynamic and educated group and the academic staff who guide them.

Justice Connect
Life Dance Community Limited acknowledges and thanks Justice Connect for the help it provided in establishing the organisation. This included a comprehensive range of very valuable planning and reference materials, business counselling sessions, email advice and a referral to Sparke Helmore Lawyers for pro-bono legal work.

Sparke Helmore has provided Life Dance Community with invaluable assistance in developing a constitution and registering as a company limited by guarantee. The pro-bono work done by the firm has been detailed, focussed and has demonstrated great depth of expertise in this area. The assistance continued with the preparation of registration with the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profit Commission and representations to the Australian Taxation Office for Deductible Gift Recipient status. We are extremely grateful for the help we have received from Sparke Helmore.
